"Conflagration" Original Drawing

$1,199.00

Drawn with archival, pigment ink, acrylic paint markers, and metallic paint on acid free, 100lb, 8 inch by 10 inch, smooth Bristol board.

This piece was created with a technical aspect before conceptual. I wanted to try and make the transition between color and black ink smooth without being able to tell where one started and the other ended. The theme grew once I found the direction of the piece. Even though the colors aren't the most "fire" like, the flow and feeling is there. The feeling of engulfing flame grew as I worked and became the overall theme. Not all pyres are bad they can just be, and I feel the colors give that feeling of calm and peace with the impending embers. Not all combustible events in ones life are bad, but are easy to perceive that way.

This piece comes matted and framed. Shipped in a sturdy box mailer through USPS.
